German dogs are an important export – the "Royal Canadian Mounted Police" have used GRADLYN animal transport for many years. German shepherd dogs, Belgian Malinois and Rottweilers are regularly transported from Frankfurt to Canada to serve with the police, because each breed makes a good working dog. These well-trained young dogs are selected by German breeders and regularly fly with GRADLYN from Frankfurt Airport to Canada.
"How should we fly our dogs?" is a question the Canadians no longer have to ask. To start the journey to their new home, the young dogs are either delivered directly to Frankfurt by the breeder, or otherwise collected from the breeder’s premises. In the live animal facility station at Frankfurt airport (Frankfurt Animal Lounge, Lufthansa Cargo), a state vet (veterinary border control centre, Hesse inspects each animal before they are placed in special transport boxes built to house dogs of this size ready to board the plane and cross the Atlantic.
